Mr. Nasrun was in the City when the Tsunami hit – with only his wife and 4 ½ year old son home. Their entire village was washed away, 1500 of the 1600 local residents including their son were killed. Mrs. Nasrun was washed back and forth by the 3 monster waves but although seriously injured, miraculously survived, along with 100+ other villagers. Mr. & Mrs. N’s temporary two room house of wood.

In the Boat! Mr. Nasrun, Mr. Thomas from FCF and Wen, the Architect and overseer of the building of our Boats. Mr. Nasrun was chosen from among many needy fishermen because he and his wife had immediately adopted one surviving child, and obviously would need to be able to make a living as soon as possible. He will use the boat co-operatively with 3 other of the fishermen in their village. Built to last for several years, our boats have drawn very high marks for their quality and design. A Major Contribution Bonus: Positioned immediately next to the boat dock is an Ice Producing Unit Donated by a French NGO – absolutely essential for any fishing operation.
